Stirr Associates in the news

Last week, our CEO, Stijn Francis, was interviewed by Het Nieuwsblad. Further to the football scandal in Belgium, RSC Anderlecht decided to stop payments to football agents, even if these agents have a legal and binding contract with a club. RSC Anderlecht justified this delay in payment in the light of the football scandal. In this football scandal certain agents (but also clubs and referees) have been investigated for tax fraud, corruption and match fixing. The view of Stirr Associates is that binding contracts should be respected unless RSC Anderlecht would have good reasons to question certain constructions or payment schemes.
